Also some egghead says I'm fooling myself if I think drinking lots of water each day is going to help me out any. But I like to drink water so I'm going to keep drinking lots of it. Even if it recently occurred to me that countries rich in drinking water seem more likely to have obesity problems. And even though I saw someone declare tap water was just "recycled piss and chemicals" not too long ago. It's been hard to get that image out of my head. But I guess if it's good enough for the astronauts it's good enough for me.

WATER--It's what we're made of!
Date: 2002-08-13 11:44 am (UTC)We need water, that's all there is to it. It is very important in maintaining a proper homeostasis and if you don't have enough, your hypothalmus (the front part of your brain that tells you when you are hot, cold, thirsty, hungry, sleepy, awake...et c...) will give you the wrong signals and you will just be screwed in so many ways.
It also helps flush out impurities and keeps our organs hydrated and working properly.
9 out of 10 hypothalmuses agree:
Water--It's what's for dinner!
