Heh yeah I think it is the "long pig" thing that somehow got twisted around to give me the idea that people would taste like pork. Hmmm the FAQ on this site claims more like beef tho. Only one way to find out I guess but, I'll pass.
Beef? Hmmm...seems unlikely. From everything I've read (hardly an exhaustive sampling) human flesh has an unremarkable taste. Only thing I can recall is that some things (alcohol, tobacco) make it taste worse.
Say...you don't suppose that's been the driving force behind all the anti-smoking and anti-drinking campaigns, do you? Somebody, somewhere, is trying to improve the taste of the Herd! We have to start drinking and smoking NOW, before it's TOO LATE! Tell the children, and WATCH THE SKIES!
