I know, keep your head down, ignore the world, ignore the news, whose job is to make you always afraid...

But I do have to say I am finding myself nervous about the Presidential inauguration stuff coming up this weekend. I feel like something crazy and violent is going to happen.

I hope not, but so many people seem so worked up.

Melissa is going to the Women's March in Indianapolis; I really really hope she will be OK. I think she will. I wasn't worrying til this morning.

After six years with me, Melissa says I always have to have something to worry about. It may not have taken her six years to figure that out, I am not sure.

Haha she definitely didn't need six years to figure it out. I think we're all on edge about the inauguration, it's just floating around in the air. It's Trump's reputation for the unexpected, it's making it seem like this time the inauguration will be different and something exciting will *have* to happen instead of what will 99% likely happen, which is that we'll see the boring ceremonies like we always do. Not that I'm going to watch unless someone guarantees me Ted Nugent and some KKK guys are going to be shot out of a cannon, over a shark, through a ring of fire and into a pile of horseshit.

I think Melissa will be fine. She always seems reasonable when you write about her. It's one thing to show up at a rally and for them to get all hotheaded, but this will be more equal ground. Maybe some sign-waving and stuff.

Thanks - yeah I think she will be fine too, I'm (for whatever reasons) mostly worried about her getting caught up in some kind of riot or some kind of terrorist thing happening. I know neither are rational. But my brain is in a dumb jumpy place right now, with regard to all this stuff.
