A message to the world.
Nov. 24th, 2005 12:34 pmWhen I was visiting Chicago, I wound up hanging out at a Cub Scout meeting. I mostly read during it, but I did hear this one older kid make a general announcement that people should drive by his house to see the cool Halloween display. It was nearby so I got curious and drove by. Holy shit these people went crazy. Pictures below. Note that several of the figures were animated.

There's a house about a mile away that put up a grim reaper outside their house that was at least 15 feet tall and made of some sort of black, gauzy material and metal. It was AMAZING. I wish I'd gone to take a picture of it befoer they took it down because it wasn't just cool Halloween stuff, it was really artistic. I can't adequately describe it with words, unfortunately.
