The Trentonian started showing up on my doorstep last week, so chalk one up for the 'world runs on trust' school.
There is a memorial website for Fantasy Farm. I couldn't believe it. My grandparents used to take my cousin Andy and I here in the very early 70s... it was a tiny independent 'farm-themed' amusement park for children. Seeing some of the pictures on the site stirs vague memories. I mainly recall Tom Sawyer's Cave, which was this yellowish fabricated cave you could walk through, that sometimes had cartoons playing against one wall. I also remember the ducks, and these carts that had chickens in them. I think the chickens would play piano if you put a nickel into a slot on the cart... something along those lines. We always felt bad for the performer chickens but, you know, it's a hard life for chickens everywhere you look.
It's quite warm here today, again.
