Jim messaged me this morning and asked if I wanted to go to lunch. I said sure and also explained that I was planning to go to the library. He came by and we went to a restaurant for some fine lunch. For some reason he decided to pay for the lunch, which was very nice of him. Yes, for me it was a free lunch, so there you go.

After this lunch we went to the library and I got a card and checked out about a half-dozen things, most everything on my list except they didn't have the Vaclav Havel book (or at least I couldn't find it in their system). But I did happen to notice that they had High and Low on DVD, which was great as I had been wanting to see that, but not wanting to pay for it. The only problem now is subtitles. I am really bad with subtitled movies. If I see a movie in the theater I am fine and can function like a regular person, but at home I have a hard time making myself just focus on the movie and pay attention. Of course with a subtitled movie, this can be disastrous. I'll try to do other things while the movie is on, as though there is a chance in the world I'll somehow be able to understand the dialogue while I am paying my bills at the computer or something.

It was a super nice day here today. Sunny, and in the mid 60s. Once we were done at the library we went to Princeton and got to see the smart kids walking around. After I got back home I opened up the windows of the apartment and took a little nap. Both this morning and and this afternoon I woke from sleep feeling very sad and with the Handsome Family's song "Stalled" playing in my head. Who knows why. It's not even an interesting question. But I do have a 'crush' on that dreamy Rennie Sparks.

I am not sure what I am going to do tonight, but probably will watch a movie. There might be some hunger and no good solution to that which spares me going out to buy groceries. If the reader detects a note of reproach in that statement, a sense that you have somehow let me down, well let's not turn this into another 'who forgot to bring who food' witch hunt. Rise above.

I have a lot of stuff that I want to sell.
