all fucking spoilers so watch yourself

Pretty good finale I thought... the end of season 1 left me a bit more, "Oh man I can't wait months to see what happens!" (which, fortunately I watched it on DVD so I didn't have to wait months) but this was, well, the more I keep thinking about it the more it grows on me.

- My favorite part was of course Henry revealed as the boss of the Others. Awesome. The guy that plays Henry is so good, so fucking creepy, and having him as the boss man? Blockhead here never saw it coming but man - perfect. Fucking Henry in all his glory. The big man.

- I am not sure where they go from here, with what happens with Sawyer, Kate and Jack. Would seem they will see more of the Others. Would assume they "get away" at some point. Who knows.

- Libby, but only briefly. I was hoping she'd come back from the dead. I assume we'll get more 'backstory' on her at some point.

- The statue foot had four toes???? Is this LOST or Land of the Lost?

- Claire kisses Charlie. What's up there? He injected himself with that vaccine, suddenly maybe things turn around for Charlie...? He was able to throw away all the heroin, too.

- Locke and Eko, dead? But Locke can't be dead, can he? Surely we'll at least see him in flashbacks. We have to find out how he lost the use of this legs. Charlie didn't seem to think they were dead though, and other than the freaking Quarantine door falling from the sky, we don't know for sure that the Hatch actually blew up. Do we...?

- WTF with Desmond's girlfriend at the end of the show there, and her strange employees and their monitoring? This shit is all so balled up together on this show, everyone's story. So, Desmond neglected the numbers and caused the plane crash, but it just happened that many people on the plane had weird connections to the island. Whaaat?!

- When are we going to learn what happened to Jack's dad's body?

- Desmond's Hatch buddy was Sayid's US intelligence 'handler', and did we see him elsewhere, in anyone else's flashback...? I think we did; I am bad at remembering that stuff (which kinda sucks since one of the cool things about the show is the interconnections they keep serving up, fortunately the Internet is available to serve as Cliff Notes for the careless viewer here).

- Sun and Jin at sea with Sayid, where is that going? Sayid was back on the boat right? Any suggestion they will not make it back to camp easily, esp. after the electromagnetic event? I kind of have to think something will come of Sun and Jin both being off with Sayid, somehow, but perhaps not. There wasn't any real hint that there was a cliffhanger with them was there...? So I guess that means the survivors have a sailboat now, still?

- I am glad Michael is alive, and that he got to leave with Walt. I hope they don't leave the show though. I want to know what is up with Walt. And you know Walt is gonna be all, Dad we have to go back for Vincent. And how well is a compass gonna work for them anyway? Desmond didn't succeed in sailing off.

- Why did Henry try to get Locke to give up on "pushing the button" in the Hatch? Wasn't it important that someone do that job? Although if it was so important... why was it left to crazy Desmond? It seems like there is some element there of not caring how things played out with the button / giant dangerous electromagnetic whatsit - which apparently can make planes crash. I wonder if there will ever be an explanation of the whole Hatch situation that seems reasonable. Ish. Perhaps I expect too much. Maybe Henry was "testing" Locke's faith.

- What were the Others doing with the other people from the plane tail that they grabbed? Not the kids but, the other adults...? They weren't just killing them all, were they - I thought many disappeared, from the perspective of Ana-Lucia etc. Hrmmm. Well I sorta look forward to watching this season on DVD now, seeing how it all works together. Yeah, I am a slave to a damn TV show. Sad.

- I was hoping at the end Hurley would make a sudden lunge for Henry, grab him and start screaming, "What is the fucking deal with those numbers? Do you know I played them and won the lottery? And then I wind up on an island where they have to be typed into a 1982 computer or else the world ends? How the hell does that make any damn sense? And if this island is so hard to get back to, how do the food drops work? What the fuck is the deal with the contagion? Why did you want Walt? Who paid to build all these bunkers and shit, and then neglected the experiments? What was the point of any of it, especially that damn pneumatic tube and the pile of reports? Was it some kind of observer effect bullshit? Was it? And the polar bears you goddamn creepy bastard, what in the living shit were you doing with polar bears here? And why haven't we seen a polar bear in awhile anyway? What in the hell do you want with Sawyer, Kate and Jack, especially Sawyer? I mean Kate's cute and Jack just needs to be slapped but Sawyer's a pain in the ass. And why were we dumb enough to walk right into your trap? And was it your idea to give me a hot girlfriend then kill her, asshole?" Etc.

- I hope the timeline makes sense for events on the show. I hate it when timelines don't work out, in fictional crap, when you go back and think about it. It bugs me. And they really seem to have a lot of balls in the air at this point. Well not even balls, they're juggling all kinds of wacky stuff.

- I've never watched Alias. Should I...? Does it have any of the mystery appeal kinda stuff of LOST or is it mainly some bony looking chick kicking people in the face?
