my standard weekend, again

squamousAfter all my big talk, I rather predictably wound up spending most of Saturday just lounging around. I took a nap in fact... it's weird, somehow when I am working during the week and have to stay awake, I stay awake; give me the opportunity for a nap though and I sack right out. So, Saturday afternoon I napped a bit and once I woke up I felt all out of it and draggy, and not like going out for any adventure.
Saturday night I didn't do much of note - I can't even remember much of it now. For some reason by 10 I felt like going out, but of course didn't. I dunno I guess I ought to sometime though, I need some kind of social outlet. Most of my friends are scattered around the country and busy with their own lives. I started reading Perdido Street Station for the second time (second start that is... I began it once before but got distracted by something I now no longer remember). I also wasted a lot of time online, of course. I need to get motivated on some projects or something.... You know it's pretty bad when you find yourself clicking the "Random" link on LiveJournal.
Today has been a little better. I rode chopper while watching Monsters Inc., and went to the Acme grocery store. The grocery store was a real ordeal for some reason... they were doing 10% off all frozen food or something strange but the cashiers were having problems with this so the lines at the registers really sucked. I know, poor me huh? Yes, it's rough. Came home and caught up on bills. I definitely need to start being a lot more frugal. Even so, I want to try Bubble Tea sometime. Well. Wouldn't you?
Going to California this Friday... hopefully that will all go well, the logistics of the whole thing. Going to be on one or another plane for so much of the day Friday and then again Sunday - ugh. But, it will be good to see some of the folks from my Apple days, and of course to see Jay get married. I've actually yet to meet his wife-to-be.
Hm guess I'll watch some TV now.
