I recently got ahold of a set of New England Comics Tales Too Terrible To Tell / Terrorology comic books. Like the ad says, over 700 pages of reprints and info from good old over the top 'pre code' Horror comics. Some of the covers they reproduce are really unbelievable (the one I posted above is actually a poor example of what I am talking about; I am speaking of gore as only the vengeful dead could serve it up). Mike Diana had nothing on the depraved minds of the dawn age of the horror comic. Someone should put together a good color collection of these covers. Well actually someone probably already has.
