This screed on the new Bob Dylan "Bootleg Series" record seem pretty good to me, if also kind of vicious in parts. I like Dylan. When I was in high school I got really into Dylan. I like different phases of Dylan though, and I don't really like the protest song phase Dylan. Although my taste doesn't seem to really correspond with the Dylan cognoscenti since "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll" always made me grind my teeth and they generally go out of their way to praise it. Nashville Skyline has reigned as my favorite Dylan album for some years now. And I don't see how you can't like some of the songs off Self-Portrait, which that crowd hates. "It Hurts Me Too" is where it's at. Plus, "Wigwam".

Do you see this icon I am using here? I'm troubled because I think the original color scheme may have been green in the original comic book. But I am not sure.

Trying to gather up my ass off the couch and plant it on the nerd bike. I am thinking after that I may go over to the Quaker Bridge Mall just to people watch, and to make myself go out and somehow stand being in public. I do have a $20 gift certificate to Sears that I should use. That will be my 'cover story' if anyone asks what I'm doing there.
