I rode Chopper and watched like the first 45 minutes of this movie May that I got from Netflix. I first read about this movie on some kind of list of movies from 2002. I think it was Harry Knowles' 'best of 2002' list but I could be wrong and don't feel like even thinking about digging around to see. Anyway, from the description of the movie that you get in every mention I have seen of it, I have this idea of how it will end. So watching it feels like some 'exercise' in seeing if I am right or will be tricked or whatever. I guess. I dunno I am no AV Club reviewer here. So far I am gonna say that May is cute but the movie reminds you every few scenes that she is crazy. I assume the crazy behavior will escalate. It's kind of a blend of quirk and horror, like a Rasputina song maybe. I have the idea that if the character from from this movie, May, was a real person, she would have a LiveJournal. Anyhow I'll watch the rest of this thing later.

I still want to go by the library today. Soon.

I started this here LiveJournal in June of 2002. In those days, if I looked at my user info, it had this blue sidebar with all these links on it, all these things I could click like Friends, User Info, etc. Then at some point a few months back they switched to this blue and white scheme that has a kind of menu bar across the top. Someone told me how to switch this journal back to the older scheme, so I did. But now I can't remember how I made that switch. Does anyone know the link where you can do that, or the settings to make things look that way? I don't want this modern thing, this change, if I make a new journal for something. I looked at the Help and FAQ stuff last night and poked around otherwise to no avail. Help, tell me. If you know what I mean. Don't make me take screenshots.

Paul Reubens Tells All. 'When he was arrested in 1991 for indecent exposure at an adult movie theater, the star of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and Pee-Wee's Playhouse became a popular punch line. A decade later, no one was laughing when he was arrested again, charged with possession of child pornography. But his lawyer determined that a tape seized in another case had been mistakenly included in the evidence against Rubens, and soon a plea bargain was in the works. Last month, the child pornography charge was dropped, with Rubens pleading guilty to a charge of obscenity instead.'

But also: 'Reubens acknowledges possessing a massive collection of what he calls "vintage erotica,” films and muscle magazines with titles like: "Boy Nudist" and "Shame Dame," as well as some photographic studies of teen nudes. But he says that what the city attorney's office views as pornography, he considers art.' "Until you've been in a situation where the police come in your house, and look at things that you view as 100 percent innocent, and view them in a completely different way, I don't think you necessarily understand everything to this story." Hmmm.

A tape seized in another case had been mistakenly included in the evidence against Reubens?? How weird.
