Yes sir, I did go see a matinee showing of A Mighty Wind this afternoon. Figured a little humor might cheer me up. Nothing like a good 'laff' I always say. It didn't really get me laughing out loud like Best In Show before it though. But, I am glad I saw it. That Catherine O'Hara is a doll. It has rained quite a bit this weekend, and while I was out I noticed how nice and lush things look now. Real purty.

In other news that involves me staring at a screen, Fox is showing a new Futurama tonight. Oh Futurama, pinnacle of nerd TV. I will miss you. This is a particularly good-looking episode, although I saw a Samurai Jack last night that was hot stuff too. It's the colors, that's what I notice.

I somehow got the idea that I should pick up one of these newfangled Sonicare toothbrushes. Well, I don't think mine has the very newest fangles, it's some junior model, but it still promises an upgraded toothbrushing experience. I have started brushing with it, but am not used to it yet. I don't think you really need to do the usual 'brushing', scrubbing motion... just kind of ease the frantically vibrating little end around. The sensation of having it in my mouth is sort of unnerving, and I am not sure I am doing it right. I also keep messing up and letting the brush come out of my gob, and fling bits of paste-foam everywhere. It finally dawned on me after a few days of this that I wasn't even sure how the 'Sonic' aspect of the gadget was supposed to benefit me. I did a few Google searches, and the best explanation I found was that the brush 'uses sonic "waves" to knock the little feet (or flagella) off each little bacteria critter'. Holy shit how great is that? Please note it doesn't even kill the bacteria outright, no, it cripples them (well, assuming this claim is valid). Now, everytime I brush my teeth I can imagine endless fields of maimed bacteria afterwards, all sprawled dying like in the Confederate wounded scene from Gone With The Wind. In my mouth. Oh yeah. I think I'll go brush right now.
