in the mood to whine

This past week, despite some fun moments, felt so very long. Friday morning I actually groaned aloud when I woke up and realized that I had to get out of bed and function. It just didn't seem possible, nor fair, that it was only Friday. I wanted it to be Saturday, I wanted laziness. But, it turned out to be an OK day. I have had some head cold all week that has been draining without leaving me really debilitated, so this is my latest whine in a week that heard much grousing out of me.

Today however was Saturday. Today has been the lazy day pretty much. Except yesterday I decided that I was going to vegetate at the movie theater today, rather than at home.

I know you're jealous

I got a box in the mail today from some friends of mine in the Chicago area. The box contained some very nice Christmas/birthday presents for me. Yay! The best was the KGSR broadcasts vol. 10 CD. I am listening to it now. The KGSR broadcasts series amazes me, and I am not pulling your leg here... many a time I have heard a song on there that I love by some artist I don't really know, then when I track down some other songs by the artist, and they just don't do anything for me. I don't know how it happens but I am serious here, they get some great performances out of folks for this KGSR stuff. It's just too bad the CDs wind up being so scarce.
