I want to hibernate
Dec. 5th, 2002 05:47 pmPunked out and came home early today. Part of the motivation was that I foresaw my apartment parking lot turning into a real clusterfuck as the night wore on and more and more folks came home, but mostly it was just that everyone else was gone so I felt like it didn't matter much if I was working (or shirking as the case may be) at home or the office.
So the area around here appears like it got clobbered pretty good by snow today. I am gonna say there are at least six inches of snow out there, probably more. If I were any kind of a man I would've taken some pictures. The roads look as though no effort was made to clear them, but I could be wrong. I asked Jim what was up there and he reported this area "doesn't deal well with snow". Hmmm well in that case I will hope for a dryish winter then, right from the bottom of my high strung little heart. I really don't think Prius was made with this kind of weather in mind.
I was never a real space program nerd... I wasn't smart enough for one thing... but this article still makes me sorta sad.
