Here we are at the fabulous weekend, the luxurious private time in which one can enjoy whatever life one has constructed. Predictably I am a little let down so far today by my own drag-ass approach to the whole thing. Also I noticed that the living room of my apartment has an odd smell to it that I can't quite place. Now you really want to come over, right? Normally despite not being a hippie, I would burn some truly unfeasible amount of incense in hopes of correcting this, but at the moment have no such resources at hand. Guess I will spray a little Glade and hope for the best.

This strikes me as a really horrible idea. Dolly the sheep is not the picture of health, from all reports. Do you really want to do this to a human - to your own child no less?

Finally did the laundry I have been moaning about all week. The facilities work fine, they just lack the digital counters I am used to. Time-wise it took about what I expected though, ~30 minutes for the washer, ~45 minutes for the dryer. $1.25 per load which is a drag. No washer-dryer hookups in the apartment so I am stuck with it. Well that or a laundromat I guess. Other than making life an endless quest for quarters, it's fine.

Watching more Frontier House here. Am I a giant creep for needing to occasionally remind myself the Clune nymphets are only like 15-16 years old? Yes... yes I think I am. The really unpleasant Glenn marriage is no fun to watch at all. I wonder if they get divorced. And man those kids look bored in the one-room schoolhouse.

Blake informs me they have neutered the proud sport of Whirlyball, in response to some lawsuit. I guess now you "can't ram people at excessive speed". The means of enforcement is that they dock you points. Sad, very sad. Come on, this game is based on bumper cars... I can't catch, pass, or score very well, so for me the game was all about ruthlessly smashing into my betters. I could take a team to negative points rather quickly.

Hrmm the hard drive in this laptop seems to be coughing up blood. Drag. Also in the last few days I keep having connectivity probs between the laptop and the wireless base station, which are resolved by rebooting the base station. Another drag. I suspect the issue there is that the base station is a piece of crap, since I never have any problems with the one at work. Could poke around in the support section of the vendor website I guess, but am not optimistic.

I think I need some strawberry twizzlers.

I know it goes without saying but... this is just so sad. Sometimes I just think what a broken world this is. I really hope they have got the right guy here, that there isn't some killer still running around free.
